Youth Art Month 2005

"March has been recognized as Youth Art Month. Youth Art Month (YAM) is a nationwide organization that further highlights the benefits of Art Education for all students and to encourage support for quality school art programs.

In a broad sense, this important event helps prepare students for a lifelong appreciation and understanding of, the creative process. Self-expression leads to gains in self-esteem.

Students that excel in the visual arts have the opportunity to have their work exhibited in the Paramus community. Those chosen will receive an invitation for opening night, and a certificate for participation.

As the YAM Site Chair for Bergen County, we have organized this year’s countywide exhibit to be at IKEA in Paramus. The opening night reception is Wednesday March 23rd 2005, 5:30-7:30. Please keep this date open as you are all cordially invited. Thanks for your support!"
